Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum

The Sound Blaster® Audigy™ Platinum is the multipurpose edition of the The Sound Blaster Audigy series of cards. The onboard AUDIGY processor is 4 times as fast as the EMU10K1 process in the Sound Blaster Live! cards. It offers a whole new world of unprecedented high defination audio with the flexibility of an external Audigy drive. You will experience incredible audio clarity with 24-bit, multi-channel, 5.1 sound and stunning 100db SNR. 

The Platinum edition is shipped with an internal Audigy drive that is easy to access and is equipped with the most comprehensive connectors for analog and digital devices, including professional audio gear, home stereo receivers, optical DACs, MIDI devices and DV camcorders. It also features a high capacity SB1394 which can be used to connect to IEEE1394 compliant devices such as DV camcorders, the future SB1394 NOMAD Jukebox, external hard drives, and high speed CD-RW drives.

  • SB1394: works only on Windows® 98SE*, 2000 and ME.
  • IEEE® 1394 cable: available separately.
  • DV Camcorder Editing: 128MB recommended for capture and editing. Ultra DMA hard disk with 1GB workspace (ATA-100, 7,200rpm with 6GB recommended).
  • DVD: At least a 2nd generation DVD-ROM drive with these recommended soft-DVD players: Intervideo's WinDVD 2000, or CyberLink's PowerDVD 3.0 and above
  • Internal Radio: Requires at least a 56Kbps modem and an active Internet connection before running the application.

* Note:

  • Certain features or functionality such as SB1394 application are not supported by Windows® first edition. We recommend that you upgrade to Windows 98SE or later versions.
     
  • Setup under Windows 98SE requires the original Windows 98SE installation CD. Certain applications do not work with Dual Processor support under Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000.
     
  • Included applications may need higher system requirements or microphone for basic functionality.
